Educate to Rise Above Program
This program is to provide an extensive educational program geared towards presenting all major risk factors that can influence the development of diabetes and cardiovascular diseases (CVD). It is offered to all Haitians living in Haiti, the United States, and other countries with a continuous educational program mostly in the Creole language and based on the prevention of diabetes and CVD. Such activities that are offered through this program are listed but not limited to the following:

  • Educational Conferences/Seminars/Workshops in Haitian Creole, French, and English
  • Distribution of educational materials ( pamphlets, posters, videos...) in Haitian Creole, French, and English
  • Promotional and educational spots on selected sources of media (TV, Radio, Magazines, Newspapers) in Haiti, USA and Canada

Medical Assistance Program in Haiti

This program is designed to be a medical and educational platform for Haitians residing in Haiti, specifically in highly disadvantaged communities. This program assists medical clinics in Haiti by offering basic, vital, and specialized medical care to treat diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. HADICAD also provides training programs to medical professionals to manage diabetes and CVD properly using a cultural approach. Such activities offered through this program are listed but not limited to the following:

  • Medical Clinics in Haiti
  • Mobile Clinics to target areas of vulnerability where medical treatment is limited
  • Training Programs for medical professionals on the management of diabetes and CVD
